I feel, I feel, shivers, shivers, running down my veins..."

Okay, so Saturday, I checked up on my youtube subscriptions and found that Xteeener's give away contest/prizes. I thought they were such cool stuff that I decided to make my own commercial and send it in. Hopefully I'll win something. Ha ha, totally amateur stuff but I had soooo much fun!

This is the product: Victoria's Secret Refreshing Body Spray in Love Spell and Pure Seduction.

I made my sister help ;p.

Also, when doing that, I came up w/ this look and decided to show everyone:

No eye make up at all. The thing that made this look is:
- Wet n' Wild MegaGlo Spotlight Peach
- Revlon's Lustrous lipstick in Wink for Pink
- Revlon's Super Lustrous lipgloss in Pink Whisper

Hope you guys enjoy~

A Prommy look

This is pretty much a contest entry for Emilynoel83's Prom contest. I think the deadline is tomorrow!

So, here is my attempt. I'm having a hard time just taking pictures of eye make up and stuff so this is what I have.

The special thing about it is that the eye make up is $1!! W00t!! Yeah, that's right. And really simple too, using another $1 item: the crease brush from E.L.F

Enough w/ the babbling, here is what I came up w/...

What I used:

*Moohaha, you can see my shadows... I don't know why I said Moohaha... ahh, weird rambling!!
- Rimmel's Lasting Finish Foundation
- Set w/ either EDM foundation or Wet n' Wild Pressed Powder
- Pink Kabuki brush from Coastal Scents

Fo the colors~

- Rimmel's Natural Bronzer in Sunlight
- Wet n' Wild's Silk Finish blush in Pearlescent Pink
- Maybelline's Moisture Extreme Lipstick in Rum Raisin
- Revlon's Colorstay Mineralize Lipglaze in Everlasting Blush

Misc. Stuffies... or stuff I forgot to take pics of... xD

- Max Factor 2000 Calorie Mascara~!
- NYX blush in Terracota (as a highlight... if you want)
- Burt's Bees Lipbalm

Okay, now here comes the BIG STUFF... saved the best for last!

- $1 E.L.F Brightening Eye Color quad in Butternut (kick tons of buttocks!)
- $1 E.L.F Coverstick (for a base... it works even tho it's pink... but use a better base if you have any)
- $1 E.L.F Eye crease brush
- Ecotools eyeliner brush
- Revlon's colorstay eyeliner in black/brown

D*&N that's a lot of stuff!! My goodness. Well, it is for a special occasion right?? YES! So dress up. Have fun. Be glamorous and stuff~ Spend money on dress and shoes and leave the make up to the drugstore!

BTW. I'm tagging this as FOTD - just cause it's a look...

you are my destiny,"

Ahh, I need to go to sleep...
BUT I found a CVS thing and Walgreens thing so (bargains... I'm so out of it right now)

Buy 1 Get 1 Free for all Maybelline!! BTW, I went on their website and really enjoy that I can ask them to choose colors for me. He he!
Buy 1 Get 1 Free for Almay
Buy 1 Get 1 50% off for CoverGirl eye or lip
Buy 1 Get 1 50% off for NYC! Makes it extremely cheap - w00t
Neutrogena 40% off for everything. Have you guys seen their concealer kit...??? That looks so cool.

The crappy thing about CVS is that you have to have a like a membership card. Just get it online if you don't feel like filling something out at the store.

Walgreens has
Buy 1 Get 1 50% off for Maybelline. Damn! If you are really into Maybelline's stuff then this is the week for you.
Buy 1 Get 1 50% off for L'Oreal - foundation, powder, blush, eye
Neutrogena 40% off for everything
Sally Hansen 40% off for lip and nails

Now, I prefer Walgreens more than CVS b/c they don't require any card. They have a little cosmetic counter and also they just seem to have more brands!

Have fun shopping. The economy needs you!

Hmm, we'll see how the week goes.

it's gonna take a miracle to bring me back,"

Here's a first FOTD... face of day from months ago! Ha.

I titled this a $1 look b/c the eyes honestly cost that much... Yes, you guessed it! It's an E.L.F quad - Butternut. I honestly love this quad.

Eye shadow and eye liners. I only used one in this look but both of these work the same for me so I just wanted to put it out there. I think the CG one glides on better... before. Now, I feel like they both work the same. Maybe I wasn't used to the Revlon ColorStay until now.

Lips are very simple and neutral. Love that Maybelline lip color. Again, E.L.F lip gloss. They have a lot of good stuff. Burt's Bees lip balm is so great!! I seriously get really annoyed when I lost it b/c it's just that great. Luckily I had a replacement.

That's all for now. Toodles!

feels so much lighter, since I've met you"

Yes, I got a bunch of these in January so it isn't new or anything. So, what do I think of them?

First of all, they are so cheap!! And you guys should know that I'm big old cheaper and I don't like to spend a lot of money on anything unless I feel like I need it. Sometimes, I try to convince myself that I need some makeup and that's when I do go and buy stuff. Anyways, this is not a post about me, it is about my Wet N' Wild stuffies:

1)Pressed Powder
I got this for 75c and that's why I even got it in the first place. This is my first experiment w/ a pressed powder. I wanted something that would just set my liquid foundation. I think this is good for that. Just a light touch with a big fluffy brush and you're foundation will stay and your face will be matte. Now, I think that this pressed powder SUCKS in being a pressed powder. It doesn't really give you any coverage and sometimes I feel like it makes my pores look bigger. I don't think it'll prevent shines or anything (my skin is dry so I don't worry about it). So honestly, save yourself the money and buy something better! If you're like me and just need a powder to set foundation, then get this. It's cheap, it doesn't clog pores, it doesn't irritate my skin. It's been okay for me. The reason why I do set my foundation is to prevent streaking of blushes and bronzers. It happens when my face is still kinda 'wet' with foundation.

Overall: 2/5

2)Blush Pearlescent Pink
What intrigued me was the idea of a 'silky finish'. And I don't quite know if it does give me that. However, this is a LOVELY color!! Very pigmented~ The only problem (and maybe not a problem) is that it has a lot of gold glitter in it. Now, this glitter is really pretty. It's like shimmer instead of glitter but I wouldn't wear it in the day time. I save this blush for going out at night. And it truly works perfectly for that. The only thing that I don't like is staying power. I'm not sure if it has the ability to stay for more than 2 hours. I doubt it.

Overall: 4/5

3)MegaGlo Illuminator Spotlight Peach
Indeed, this might be my favorite product out of my entire haul! I LOVE THIS THING! AHH!! It gives me a nice subtle tannish peachy color for my cheeks. Since I'm not fair, it looks really natural on me! When I use my Ecotools blush brush, it just goes on perfectly. I really recommend people buying one of these blushes b/c they kick butt!!! YES, they do. Let me say it again - PERFECT for everyday look~

Overall: 5/5 (it gets the cupcake award!)

it goes on and on and on and on"

I might have to change the layout and make my blog posts a little bit longer. Anyways, so my parents decided to change my carpet flooring with hard wood floor... SO:
Please click on image to see the full pic!

Ha ha, yes, most of my makeup fit in that little black box. Not a lot compare to many make up bloggers - like I said - I'm a n00bie (do people still use that word??), I'm also a cheapie, AND I'm a poor college student. So, 'nuff said!

I can't get to my make up anymore!! I don't know if you can tell but there are chairs and stuff blocking my way. AHH!!

and you see the sky turn red,"

COASTAL SCENTS!!!. I purchased some Coastal Scents brushes a few weeks ago and wanted to try them out first before writing/reviewing on them.

First of all, I just want to say that their shipping/customer service is awesome. The only thing is that they need to do something about their site b/c it looks kinda - well not really professional. Besides that, I love how they allow you to choose your own shipping method. So instead of paying $6 for FedEx, I paid $3 for USPS. But if you really need your stuff FAST, you can get like overnight shipping or something crazy like that. I ordered my stuff on Tuesday and got it on Friday (or maybe Saturday)!! Anyways, I absolutely love it.

Here are the products that I got:

The Pink Kabuki Brush for $4.99, Italian Badger Angle Blush Brush for $6.99, and Pink Duo Fiber Powder Stippler Brush for $7.49.

So here is what I think...
1)

PROS: IT IS SO FLUFFY!!! Look how dense that baby is. Oh yeah, it is HUGE! It also doesn't shed or have pink dye come off when I wash it. Doesn't smell funky anymore. Very good at putting powder on!

CONS: Not as soft as a cat's fur or something but it's not scratchy either.

Overall: - 4/5 cupcakes~

2)

PROS: It looks very fancy - nice shiny wood handle :) Picks up good amount of product and blends well. SHEDS a little - only a little and no dye problem w/ this either.

CONS: The only thing I hate and it is a big thing is that it isn't as soft as would've liked. It isn't SCRATCHY!! It's just not soft. I don't like to blend much with this brush because it's not very soft.

Overall: Even though I do love this product,
- 3/5 ;_;

Finally, 3)

PROS: SOFT AS A CLOUD. I got it b/c its denser than the black one. Barely sheds. Definitely gives nice stippling effect. Sheer colors of blush.

CONS: It's kida flimsy when you blend... like the bottom isn't as stiff as you would want it to. I get dye coming off when I wash it.

Overall: This is a strange one... and I don't know how I feel about it yet. I still need to use it more to see if I like putting on foundation the normal way better or if I like putting on blush w/ another brush. For now, I say:
- 4/5

Sorry if you find my cupcakes weird. I found them on a website and couldn't resist using them for something.

So, in conclusion, I say that I'm not in love with any of these brushes. I find them useful but not something that I would be extremely excited about. So, if you want some cheap brushes that works well, this is defintely something to look for.

------------

These are my wish list for my next order (yes, I still really like this company)
- Their hot pan eyeshadows
- Gel liners in 24K, Deep Plum, Maroon, Indigo Blue, and True Black
Also, I'm looking into pressing and making my own palettes (DIY stuff) so I might get some of their:
- Pressing Medium and eye shadow pans

So many things I want!! But I'm pretty good w/ brushes right now... well, I might get a blush brush... we'll see~

Until next time! Have fun shopping and bargaining and cutting coupons!

breathe out, so I can breathe you in"

MASCARA TIME!! So currently own 4 but I've tried a bunch of different kinds. The thing w/ me is that when I'm done w/ a product - even if I loved it, I'd still want to see more of what is out there.

The ones I own right now are:

What the wand/brush looks like:

So what do I think of them??
E.L.F Earth and Water Mascara duo:
PROS:
- Good with lengthening
- You get TWO mascaras for $1
- Not clumpy
- Last almost 10 hours w/out flaking
- Holds curls
- Also when you nap w/ this on, it won't make like a residue under your eyes (you ladies know what I'm talking about!)

CONS:
- The wand is not have defined bristles so it can't comb your lashes
- Doesn't really give volume
- Nothing more but the wand really annoys me sometimes

OVERALL: 3.5/5
PRICING: $1 @ E.L.F

But if you want a decent mascara for $1, this is the one to go for.
I'm quite happy with it:

CoverGirl Lash Blast: Okay, so anyone who's into makeup, if you don't own it, then at least you've heard about it. This is my second tube... crazy eh? So there'sn ot much else to say.

PROS:
- No flaking for at least 12 hrs
- LENGTH BABY!
- No clumping until the tube gets dry (which this tube can last a while until it is dry, 3-4 months. For me anyways)

CONS:
- Gigantic brush. I can't get to my inner lashes and difficulty getting my bottom lashes. Also, I think I hurt myself a few times just cause the brush is so weird.
- Not so much volume as I would like

OVERALL: 4/5
PRICING: ~$7-8

MAX FACTOR 2000 Calorie Mascara: Okay, so this is my LOVE!!!

PROS:
- Lenghthens and Volumizes (WHAT?? YES!!)
- Lovely brush - good bristles to seperate my lashes and can get to all my lashes
- IT'S $4 at Walmart. Yeah, that's why I got it in the first place.
- No clumping, no flaking, no making any mess

CONS:
- Um... I dunno.

OVERALL: 5/5 Wins the CUPCAKE AWARD Yay!

PRICING: ~4 at Walmart (I don't know about other places but just go to Walmart)

REVLON 3D Mascara

PROS:
- The idea of a small brush
- The packaging is cute...

CONS:
- EVERYTHING!!! AHHH!! Why didn't I do my research to know I should've bought this??
- Clumpy, flaky, doesn't hold curls, makes my lashes heavier
- Even though the brush is small and it's nice for my small asian eyes, it just doesn't help my lashes at all

OVERALL: A disaster; I give it a 0.5/5 for effort but don't waste your money on this.

Other mascaras that I've tried:
Clinique Mascara - which I don't think they have it anymore because it was pretty clumpy and flaky and overall, just not worth it.

Rimmel's Volume Flash Mascara: I remember it was too thick for me. The brush didn't seperate my lashes too well and it was clumpy and flaky. I think I'd rate it as 2.5/5

Maybelline's Great Lash® Washable Mascara: Although it seperates and lenghthens my lashes well - it sucks at giving volume. The brush is small (which is nice) but it is similar to the E.L.F's brush so it can't get to my lashes well. Also, my skin had an allergic reaction to this mascara. A little bit thin on the formula. 3/5.

Hope this helps some of you in choosing a good cheap drugstore mascara.
